Fourth Grade Science

BVP science follows an inquiry-based program, with students actively engaging with materials to construct meaning and knowledge from their experience. You're more likely to find scholars learning from each other while they collect data in small groups than to hear a teacher explaining facts.

We have learned about inherited traits, which are traits organisms get from their parents. Click the link below to play a game that helps you practice how inherited traits help an organism's population survive over time.
Explore habitats in different climate regions around the world. Check out the adaptations different organisms inherited from their parents to help them survive in their environment.
Manipulate wires to determine how energy can flow from a D cell battery up to a lightbulb.
Make a circuit that fits the conditions that the game specifies. Try and take the quiz to see how well you know electrical circuits!

Gamified Learning

This is a way for students to take control of their own learning through independent technological exploration.  The chart below shows the activity options.  If scholars choose to complete one of these alternatives, and prove it to me--they will be rewarded with points.  By the end of the year, the scholar with the most points will receive a prize!
